HCL Technologies has plans to hire 5000 freshers in 2010

HCL Technologies, a major software services firm has some big hiring plans for fresh college graduates in 2010. According to company sources, they may be hiring around 5,000 college freshers.

Shiv Nadar, Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer of HCL Technologies says, "The new post-recession era will be marked by transformational changes in the world of business and its impact on the development of society. I believe that HCL is uniquely positioned to be at the forefront and succeed in the emergent era."

According toAnil Chanana,  CFO of  HCL Technologies, "We have reported another good quarter driven by strong volume growth of 9.2 per cent and revenue growth of 24.6 per cent year-on-year and 6.6 per cent quarter-on-quarter in IT services."

Capgemini plans to hire around 4,000 people in India by June end

Capgemini, a global consulting, technology and oursourcing services company has some big hiring plans in India. According to sources, the company is planning to hire around 4,000 people in India by June end.

At present, Capgemini has over 18,000 employees in India and over 83,000 employees around the world. The company is planning to expand its operations at Bangalore in India in a big way.

Over 20,000 employees hired by top 3 IT companies in the last Quarter

Infosys, TCS and Wipro are the top three IT companies in India. With improving condition of the economy in general and IT sector in particular, these companies put together have hired over 20,014 employees in the January-March quarter.

According to predictions of various HR experts, the hiring plans of most of the companies, especially those in IT and ITES sector will continue this whole year. companies in the IT & ITes sector would hire 1,50,000 professionals in the fiscal year 2011.

According to sources fro Infosys, the company hired about 9,313 emplyoyees in the last quarter. Although, the company reported some attrition during the period, the net addition of new employees was by 3,914.

Tata Consultancy Services took on board a net 10,775 employees in the last quarter of 2009-10 fiscal. TCS' total employee strength has soared to 1,60,429 at the end of the last fiscal.

Wipro, another IT giant made net additions of 5,325 employees in the Q4 FY10, taking its total strength to 1,08,071. This year has proved to be a great year for job seekers in India.

If you are a fresher and have plans to join any of the these three IT giant companies, viz, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, you should prepare well in advance for hiring process, which is rigrous in these companies and freshers need to prepare well.

BPO firm, Aegis plans to hire 11,000 people during 2010-11

Business Process Outsourcing company, Aegis has some big hiring plans fo this financial year. According to the company sources, about 50% of people will be hired from outside India.

According to the managing director and global CEO of Aegis, Aparub Sengupta, " As clients are becoming more fungible to offshore locations besides India and the Philippines, and are also ready to pay accordingly, we intend to grow our base at locations other than India. This year, we would be hiring about 11,000 employees, of which about 50% would be located outside India."

Aegis has active presence in countries like Philippines, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Australia and South Africa



Indian companies are back to agressive hiring: Survey

According to the annual American Express/CFO survey of senior financial executives of global companies, about 85 percent of companies in India are hiring or planning to hire new employees.

A quote from survey says, " In general, respondents in India are more likely than their peers in other countries to say they expect their companies will begin hiring relatively soon -- by third quarter of 2010."

In this survey which was conducted in April, around 479 senior executives from across North America, Asia, Europe and Australia representing companies with revenues ranging from $500 million to $20 billion participated.

In India, which is the the world's second-fastest growing major economy, nearly three-fourth of respondents observed that companies are raising capital expenditure this year with 89 percent have plans to increase business travel expenses.

Many Asian countries including India, Hing Kong and Singapore are optimistic about post recession phase and see prospects of good economic growth.In India, as we have already reported from time to time job opening of the majority of IT companies. The jobs are back not only in IT sector but companies from other sectors are also on a hiring spree.
